As the name implies this area is an ideal fishing spot situated south from Stuarts Point on a no through road, which makes it a lovely peaceful area.

Yachts, dinghies and motorboats voyage out to sea from the Fishermans Reach boat ramp, passing Shark Island and oyster leases. Private homes with their wooden jetties jut into the wide Macleay River along the leafy riverbank.

Sacred Ibis, Seagulls and Pelicans wade ashore, while the Sea Eagles, Osprey and Hawks soar overhead, looking for Bream, Whiting, Flathead and Blackfish.

Occasional Dolphins, Stingrays, Turtles and Sharks also cruise the waterway.
