This is a small village off the Pacific Highway which steeps in history.
It is surrounded by State and National forests which consist of a variety of
eucalypts such as black butt, spotted gum, grey gum, tallowwood, red and white mahogany,
ironbarks, flooded gum and turpentine.
The railway line is situated on the outskirts of the village and is half way between Sydney and Brisbane.
In fact it was said that the railway crossing was exactly 333 miles from both Sydney and Brisbane when it was opened.
The local General Store supplies all the necessary items such as groceries, fuel, liquor and farm supplies.
